Sheerwind brings wind funnel technology to south dakota

SheerWind, a Minnesota-based wind power company, has entered into a licensing agreement with Mark Luke Wind Energy LLC to market and deploy its wind power generating systems in South Dakota. This marks SheerWind’s first agreement of its kind in the United States and its sixth globally. Mark Luke Cos., based in Sioux Falls, S.D., will introduce SheerWind’s innovative INVELOX technology, which collects wind through a funnel, channels and accelerates it, and then delivers it efficiently to ground-level turbines. The technology allows for wind power generation in urban areas without hazardous noise or harm to birds and bats, making it a promising solution for renewable energy in South Dakota.
