Solar Electric Powered Boat ( Solar Thermal Magazine) – This is what the captain and design engineer describes as the world’s largest concrete boat. It used to have wood rigging and sails and when it came time to replace them the owner decided to make it a sustainable boat that requires no fuel except a sunny day. It is now an electric driven solar powered craft that displaces 20 tons of water, extends 50 ft in length and will do a maximum of 5 miles per hour.
A quote from the professional engineer who is the captain:
I don’t need no stinking fuel.
