Solar Industry Jobs ( Solar Thermal Magazine ) – Nation’s largest solar power provider looking for sales talent, expects to expand to larger office space

GRANITE BAY, Calif.,—SolarCity, the nation’s largest solar power provider, plans to hire an additional 100 sales employees in the next 100 days. The company will host a “100 Jobs in 100 Days” career fair at its current Granite Bay location at 4202 Douglas Blvd., Ste. 100, on June 21—the first day of summer—at 9 a.m.

SolarCity’s Granite Bay office houses the bulk of SolarCity’s current inside sales team as well as local marketing staffers, many of whom originally joined the company from Paramount Solar following its acquisition last year. As a result of the growth, the company expects to move into a larger office space in the area this year.   SolarCity expects to double the size of the current 200-strong national inside-sales team in both Granite Bay and Las Vegas in the next 18 months.

SolarCity has been hiring more than 20 employees per month in Granite Bay since the acquisition of Paramount Solar in September.  SolarCity provides solar services to the metro area from a  15,000-square-foot operations center in Sacramento. These local crews have installed clean, renewable solar power on Sacramento City Hall, the city’s Fairbairn Water Treatment plant, 20 Walmart stores and hundreds of homes in the area.

SolarCity, the largest solar employer in the United States, employs more than 500 workers in the greater Sacramento area. The company, which operates in 15 states, was honored with an employee’s choice “Glassdoor Best Places to Work” award in 2014.

Attendance at Saturday’s job fair will be limited to 400. To attend, email [email protected]. Job seekers can also find open positions and apply at www.solarcity.com/careers.
