Solar Thermal Objective for Phase II Of Solar Generation Project In Kuwait Approved
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) have consented for launching the phase II of solar generation project to the Kuwaiti oil sector, Kuwait News Agency reported. The objective of the project is to conduct solar energy applications across the Kuwaiti oil sector on experimental basis to measure actual performance both economically and technically. It will help KPC to develop its resources for use of solar energy.
The phase II has two objectives – supply of solar thermal energy for oil collection centers and utilization of solar cells for power generation. The phase II will begin in the first quarter of 2011.
