HelioVolt Thin Film Solar Manufacturing Facility Closure Results in Online Auction Sale

Silicon Valley Disposition announced today that it will run an online auction of the majority of the physical assets from the former HelioVolt solar manufacturing facility located in Austin, Texas.  The auction will include late model research and development, production, and facility support equipment and will begin on January 14, 2015. 

The former HelioVolt facility was originally opened in 2008 with the goal of manufacturing CIGS thin film solar PV modules for commercial rooftop, utility-scale ground mount, residential, BIPV and custom installations.  The auction presents an ideal opportunity for companies in PV, PCB, Semiconductor, Glass, Electronics and general industrial production to purchase very well maintained, late model and refurbished, premier brand equipment at a discount.  In addition, general office equipment, including electronics, computer and networking hardware and office furniture will also be available through the auction.

Registration is required in order to bid on assets as well as to receive regular updates.  Bidding for the auction will begin at 6:00 AM PT on Wednesday, January 14th and will begin closing at 10:00 AM PT on Thursday, January 15th, 2015.  A preview of the assets is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13th  from 9 AM to 4 PM CT at 6301-8 East Stassney Lane inAustin, TX.
