This new high tech battery factory will provide the infrastructure to make vast numbers of electric vehicle batteries and push the industry to new levels of implementation. Electric cars are on the increase in every state in the U.S. and this means new jobs on the horizon.
This pilot program supports a major initiative of the Advanced Manufacturing Partnership (AMP), a national effort to secure U.S. leadership in emerging technologies, create high-quality manufacturing jobs, and enhance America’s global competitiveness.
By offering incentives to promote the use of preferred areas with the least potential resource conflicts, the initiative will enable us to better manage solar and wind energy development on public lands using a landscape level approach, improving efficiency for developers and reassurance that lands not suitable for development will be protected
This also means the number of solar jobs in the state is increasing.
Ontario’s renewable program is unique in North America and has created thousands of manufacturing and construction jobs as well as millions of dollars in annual revenues to the landowners and communities where the projects and the manufacturing facilities are located.
The new locations will reduce operations costs by decreasing service and installation drive times, and will contribute to state and local economies by creating new solar jobs
