Arise AB has finalized the sale of the 12.8 MW operating Swedish wind farm Bohult to a fund managed by Allianz Global Investors.
Bohult Wind Farm is located in the county of Halland, about 25 km north of the county town of Halmstad. It was commissioned in February 2014. The farm consists of eight General Electric 1.6-100 turbines. Each turbine has a maximum output of 1.6 MW and the estimated annual production is 46.3 GWh (46,300,000,000 Wh), which is equivalent to a reduction in annual carbon dioxide emissions of around 46,300 tonnes compared with fossil-based power generation. The electricity generated by the farm covers the needs of nearly 11,500 Swedish households. The voltage level for the wind farm’s internal network is 33 kV and the farm is located about 5 km from the connection point to the regional grid in Häradsbo, which is also a substation for the national grid
The cash flow effect after repayment of project financing debt and cancellation of an interest rate swap was approximately SEK 90 million (US $10 million). This also includes the release of blocked accounts. The transaction will have a slight positive impact on Arise’s earnings in 2016.
Arise is one of Sweden’s leading wind power companies with the business concept to develop, build and manage onshore wind farms for its own account and on behalf of investors.
