Recently Ford Motor Company announced that they are investing $ 4.5 billion into electric car development. Like most car makers they have realized that the days of combustion engine cars will come to an end in the not too distant future.
Electric cars have less than 20 moving parts while combustion engine cars have more than 2000! What this means is considerable less complexity and things that can go wrong. They do not even need oil changes.
While electric cars may put conventional mechanics out of business, there will be lots of jobs for computer experts. These cars are loaded with electronic sensors and features.
2016 Ford Focus Electric is connected to your smart phone
Here is Ford’s latest entry to the electric car market with a vehicle meant as midsize family car. It is the 2016 Ford Focus all electric sedan. It can be charged at home using a regular extension cord ( 120 v) or using their own designed 240 volt system that you can purchase and install in your garage. The 240 volt charger, can give you a full charge in 3.5 hrs.
If you add some solar panels on your garage to provide the electricty you have clean transportation will no fuel bills.
