An All Electric Super Car From Renault?

It been a long time since we have seen something really cool from the French carmaker, Renault. In fact I cannot remember every seeing a Renault and thinking ” wow that is cool!” I cannot say that now as I think this new concept car is really cool.

It was shown for the first time last week at the Paris autoshow along with everyother carmaker’s lastest models and hair brained prototype concept cars. It is the Renault Trezor GT all electric super car concept.

I call it a super car because the onboard 350 hp electric drive train lets the Trezor accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds! I love electric cars. Maybe this makes all electric cars, super cars!

A Very Cool All Electric Super Car.

The Trezor GT is also a very cool car to look at with all the sleek lines and a hatch like opening that is more like a space ship than a car. It is loaded with high tech computer features ( that Renault is usually not very good at) like smart phone recognition etc and autonomous driving mode.

The exterior lighting changes for autonomous mode to indicate that a computer ( and not a Frenchman or person ) is in control.

Renault is not sure when we will see the Trezor on the road and my guess is never, at least in this form. Typically concept vehicles try out a host of new concepts and only some of them make into actual production models. I hope that I am wrong and we do see the Trezor depicted here because Renault needs the image boost.

We will see right?
