Net Zero Energy Technology Is Changing The Housing Industry.
Home design is changing radically in the United States and in many other places around the world. Using clean energy technologies such as solar hotwater, solar pv and energy storage systems, designers are able to reduce the carbon footprint of many homes to zero.
Ultra insulation and low energy consuming devices such as LED lighting and efficient appliances make the need to electricity considerably lower than the average home today. Builders are starting to offer many or all of these advantages to consumers as part of the initial cost for the home.
The Future For Clean And Net Zero Energy Technologies.
Clean energy technologies such as what we discussed above actually add not just the price of the house, but also the resale value of the house. Designed and managed in the right way these new homes can leave the consumer with zero energy bills for life.
Here is a video made by Zen Energy of a recent offgrid zero energy home that they produced in conjuntion with a local builder. This is a high end home to be sure but the concepts can be used on any size home.
The designers employed a home electric energy storage system made by ABB. There are so many different companies offering similar systems to choose from.
