Interview with the Solar Impulse 2 solar airplane

Si2 was on hold briefly before landing due to traffic at the very large International Airport of Chongqing. This flight was the second last flight before crossing the Pacific and Bertrand’s last flight before this great challenge.

Combined with a low battery level and poor weather conditions Si2 may be staying at Chongqing International Airport for a while.

Don’t forget to cast your voice on to support Solar Impulse in taking concrete action for a cleaner future.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is currently undergoing a major expansion effort, with the ambition of obtaining Tier 1 International air hub status and becoming the largest airport in western China by 2035.
