A Simple Solar Air Heating System – ( Solar Thermal Magazine)

Adding or replacing your home or office heating system with a renewable energy source such as solar is much easier that you might think. Once you have completed it you will never go back to paying for your heat.

Even in the cold north such as Whitby, Ontario Canada the suns rays have more than enough power to heat even large living spaces.

In this example of a solar heated business area, the inventor has cleverly installed a passive solar air heating system that at first glance simply looks like a normal window. In fact, the black background is collecting the heat from the sun while a small motor moves the warm air to the room being heated. Calling it warm air is not accurate as the air coming out of the room vent is 42 degrees C!
