Australia’s Renewable Energy Policy – ( Solar Thermal Magazine)

The future of the RET is currently under review by the Federal Government. According to many experts any further changes to the scheme would decimate the renewable energy industry. This policy is very unpopular with many Australians as they feel that the country must be a leader in clean energy technology and share in the economic benefits from using and developing wind, solar and bio-fuel.

Australia’s Renewable Energy Target (RET) is a Federal Government policy designed to ensure that at least 20 per cent of Australia’s electricity comes from renewable sources by 2020.
