Covering Arizona with Solar PV Panels

Solar PV Panels
This Arizona solar project covers over 10 acres, utilizes over 5 million solar panels and will provide clean electricity to well over 230, 000 homes.

Solar PV Panels ( Solar Thermal Magazine)

The available solar resources in the southern United States are substantial and largely untapped. This energy source is not like oil or coal or even nuclear as once we develop the technology to utilize it’s power , we can use it for ever. Not 100 or 400 or even 1000 years but forever. Realistically if the sun stops shining we have other problems than energy.

This new solar pv power plant in Arizona is now online and gives us a glimpse of what could be as far as the scale of clean energy development. This Arizona solar project covers over 10 acres, utilizes over 5 million solar panels and will provide clean electricity to well over 230, 000 homes.

It is hard not to look at this project and ask why. Why are we not doing a lot more of this all around the world?

The answer is that we are.

  • Solar energy is not only sustainable, it is renewable and this means that we will never run out of it. It is about as natural a source of power as it is possible to generate electricity. There are continual advancements in solar panel technology which are increasing the efficiency and lowering the cost of production, thus making it even more cost effective.
