According to the designers, Wavestar is the strongest wave power concept yet. We need technology that leads the race to turn the power of the world’s ocean into unlimited clean energy. Wavestar prototypes for testing and research have been operating in the North Sea and the Danish fjords since 2006 and are among the first wave energy machines to be connected to the grid.
A commercial 500 kW machine will soon go into production and we are lucky enough to have a video of the working model.
