Companies Donate a New Model Solar PV Inverter to the Austin Children’s Shelter

Solar PV Inverter ( Solar Thermal Magazine) – Fronius USA, in partnership with SunWize Technologies, Inc., Circular Energy, and Graves Dougherty Hearon & Moody, has donated a photovoltaic (PV) system installation that includes a Fronius IG Plus V inverter to the Austin Children’s Shelter in Austin, Texas. The installation is expected to provide significant energy savings to this important community services organization.

Austin Children’s Shelter will now be able to save money on its energy bills while investing in the children for which they care. Fronius USA believes in doing the right thing, and what could be more right than helping children in need?

Suitable for both commercial and residential applications, the Fronius IG Plus V inverter is known for its reliability and dependable energy yield. It’s available from 3 kW to 12 kW, and is capable of a maximum efficiency of 96.2 percent, one of the highest in the solar industry.

Austin Children’s Shelter protects and heals children, youth and families recovering from abuse and neglect. It provides a range of services, including emergency shelter, teen parent programs with parent education and support, a transitional living program for youth ages 17-22, residential respite care, and Foster in Austin, a foster care placement agency.

“As a non-profit organization that receives state reimbursement for only one-third of what we spend caring for kids, we are always looking for ways to save,” said Kelly White, Executive Director of Austin Children’s Shelter.
