Microgrid Solar announced today the new hire of Gordon Schweitzer III as Director of Energy Efficiency Services, effective immediately. Schweitzer comes to Microgrid Solar with experience as Lead Engineer for the University of Delaware’s Mid-Atlantic Industrial Assessment Center, Engineering Consultant at Applied Energy Group, Inc., and Project Coordinator at Energize Delaware – Sustainable Energy Utility.
In his new role, Schweitzer will lead Microgrid Solar’s Energy Efficiency Services team with his expertise in Energy Efficiency & Renewables Financing, Policy, and Project Management; Energy Auditing; Utility Policy and Rebate Programs; Program Development; Building Energy Modeling; LEED Online, BD+C, EB: O&M; and ENERGY STAR Products and Programs. This background will guide and support the company’s energy consulting services, which provide comprehensive evaluations to help companies assess their energy efficiency upgrades options. Rick Hunter, the company’s founder and CEO, said, “Gordon will play a key role in helping with the transformation of our company from being mostly solar PV focused to more of a clean energy service operation.”
Schweitzer partnered with the Delaware Valley Green Building Council to provide energy audits for schools throughout the state, and has worked on various Gold and Platinum LEED Certifications in the Midwest. “I am so excited to be here at Microgrid Solar.
