Solarcentury is pleased to announce that it has hit and passed the 100MWp mark for consented solar parks. Within the space of 18 months, Solarcentury has developed almost 120MWp worth of sites with a 100% success rate in planning.

With all our sites, careful consideration is given to selecting sites which minimise the impact on local residents and maximise the benefit for wildlife. Hedging and trees are planted to ensure the sites are screened from view. All Solarcentury solar parks have wildflower meadows planted around them, designed to stimulate biodiversity by creating conditions that are attractive to a wide variety of birds, butterflies and bumblebees.

Frans van den Heuvel, CEO at Solarcentury commented:

Reaching the 100MW mark in such a short space of time is a real testament to the development team we have here at Solarcentury. Our approach to site selection and planning means we can provide sites that are of a huge benefit to the community, the environment and investors.
