PTG Water & Energy (PTG), innovator of onsite power generation technology optimized for craft breweries, has been selected by Twisted Manzanita Ales to provide onsite power and process heat at its primary craft beer production facility in Santee, California. By integrating PTG’s system with its production process, Twisted Manzanita will slash its electricity bill by more than 50 percent and its natural gas costs by more than 70 percent. Twisted Manzanita calculates that the PTG system will pay for itself within 3-4 years.
This substantially reduces the operating costs associated with running Twisted Manzanita’s existing boilers, and delivers additional cost savings at key steps throughout the brewing process. Looking ahead, another attractive benefit is the elimination of future boiler purchases, which will preserve valuable capital.
