US Patent Awarded to Envision Solar for EnvisionTrak™

envision trak envision trak1 Envision Solar International, Inc., has  announced  that on February 11th 2014, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued a patent for EnvisionTrak™ the Company’s unique tracking system which enables Solar Tree® structures to follow the sun as it moves across the sky while maintaining their lineal alignment with the location in which they are installed. The patent was issued as U.S. Patent No. 8,648,551.

EnvisionTrak™ is a highly engineered system of gears, electric motors and computational devices that enable the repositioning of a solar array without swinging or rotation. This unique and important technological advance means that Envision Solar’s tracking products can be placed in locations where traditional tracking systems could not safely operate.

EnvisionTrak™ has been successfully integrated into a variety of Envision Solar’s products including, Solar Tree® Standard, Solar Tree® Socket, Solar Tree® HVBA and EV ARC™. This unique tracking solution makes it possible for the Company’s products to deliver the highest amount of renewable energy from the available real estate. This is particularly important for products like EV ARC™ which charges Electric Vehicles from the solar energy captured in a single parking space.
