The Clean Tech Summit is a partnership of the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School Center for Sustainable Enterprise, UNC Institute for the Environment, the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster and Strata Solar.
Sensus provides water, electric and gas utilities worldwide with products and services that help them and their customers conserve water and energy and increase efficiency. The data provided by clean technology solutions is also a powerful tool, helping utilities improve operations including faster service restoration following storms and natural disasters.
“It’s a changing world and industry and if we all don’t transform, reinvent and refocus, we’re going to leave behind a world that’s struggling with even bigger energy and environmental issues,” said D’Ambrosio. “The effects of transforming the water and energy industries now—using clean technologies—will have lasting benefits for utilities, consumers, and society.”
Now home to 200 firms specializing in smart grid, efficient water management and efficient transportation, North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park region is emerging as a global leader in clean technology. This summit, at the University of North Carolina’s Friday Center in Chapel Hill, aims to advance the development of the clean technology sector in North Carolina.
Sensus is a founding board member for the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster. The organization brings together industry, government and academia to accelerate economic and technological growth in smart grid, smart water, advanced transportation, alternative energy and energy efficiency to position the region as a top location for clean technology.
