Super Efficient Car Manufacturing ( Solar Thermal Magazine )- A new America small car maker has entered the commercial automotive scene. Elio motors has a three wheel vehicle design that will sell for about $6800 dollars. The Elio P4 is designed to run 84 mpg hwy and 49 mpg city with an 8 gallon fuel tank.
The efficiency on this is so good that we originally mistakenly reported that it an electric car. We were wrong , our bad. – Great Car!
The company has negotiated with General Motors to use their empty car plant in Shreveport Louisiana and they hope to begin production some time in 2015. In this video you will see the Elio P4 cruising around the almost empty factory as if it is waiting for the equipment and workers to arrive.
