Wind Farm Talks With Scottish Authorities are Making Progress
Arise AB is one of Sweden’s leading onshore wind power companies. The company’s focus is to develop, build and manage wind farms for its own and investors´ account with the aim of selling electricity produced by onshore wind turbines.
As previously announced, several agreements have been signed which give Arise the right to plan, apply for permission and construct wind farms along the Scottish coast.
Following consultation with the Highland Council, Arise’s assessment is that the project has the potential to be granted permission. Thus the work on the application can begin. The application will be for a large wind farm of 20 to 30 wind turbines along the northern coast of Scotland. The project sites have excellent wind conditions and good opportunities for grid connections.
It is estimated that the permit application will be ready for submission next year, followed by the usual processing by authories.
