Solar thermal magazine Texas Tech Agreement to Increase National Wind Institute Access to Research Data

Agreement reflects evolved mission for future collaborations with Pantex Plant.

WHAT:           Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Texas Tech University and U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).

WHEN:           1:30-3 p.m., Thursday (May 1)

WHERE:         Board of Regents Meeting Room, Room 201, Texas Tech Administration Building (15thStreet and Akron Avenue)

EVENT:          The memorandum enhances the existing partnership with the Pantex Renewable Energy Project (PREP). The wind farm is scheduled to be in operation June 2014.

Speakers will include Texas Tech University Chancellor Kent Hance, President M. Duane Nellis, Vice President for Research Robert Duncan, and officials from NNSA and Pantex.
