Las Vegas call center for SolarCity customers honored for excellent service
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – SolarCity (Nasdaq: SCTY) was presented with Gold and Silver Stevie® Awards in the Contact Center of the Year categories at the eighth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service this February. The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top sales, contact center and customer service awards.
SolarCity’s Las Vegas call center was honored with the Gold award among all business services and other service industries nominees, and with the Silver award for all other industries, for Contact Center of the Year (over 100 seats).
SolarCity is America’s No. 1 full-service solar power provider, offering clean, affordable energy to homeowners and business. The company currently has more than 300 contact center personnel who focus on the customer experience in Las Vegas. On average, SolarCity’s Las Vegas call center team handles 80 percent of all customer cases in less than one day, leading to faster solar installation times, more efficient processing of necessary paperwork, rebates or billing, and most importantly, a higher level of customer satisfaction.
“The more than 300 men and women in Las Vegas honored with this award strive to provide an awesome experience for each of our customers every single day,” said SolarCity COO Tanguy Serra. “We love serving our customers, and these awards are particularly meaningful to us.”
More than 1,500 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were evaluated in this year’s Stevie Awards competition. More than 260 executives around the world participated in the judging process for the 2014 awards.
“Entries to the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service awards have almost doubled over the past few years,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “Not only have we seen a dramatic increase in the number of entries; but the judges have also seen a remarkable rise in the quality of the nominations submitted overall. We congratulate all of this year’s Stevie winners for their outstanding work.”
The Stevie Award is the most recent of a series of accolades for SolarCity’s outstanding service. The Better Business Bureau rates SolarCity A+, the highest rating any organization can receive. MSN Money also named SolarCity one of 15 companies where the “customer is king” in June 2013. The company was recently honored as one of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work, ranking 18th in employee satisfaction out of more than 280,000 companies in the Glassdoor database. The award relied solely on the input of employees who provided feedback on their jobs and work environments via Glassdoor’s anonymous online company review surveys. SolarCity now employs more than 5,000 workers in the U.S., and employs more Americans than any other company in the solar industry.
“SolarCity’s team in Las Vegas is dedicated to creating a positive and lasting relationship with our customers, and we’re excited to continue providing the best service possible,” said SolarCity’s Vice President of Customer Account Management Jo Ferriter. “We’re so proud to be honored with the Stevie Awards for excellence.”
