Solar Trust of America Redefines Itself for Future Growth
Solar Trust of America, the integrated solar industrial solutions company currently developing the 1,000 MW Blythe Solar Power Project among other projects, today announced a new corporate naming convention and structure.
The change, effectively immediately, affects its wholly-owned development company, Solar Millennium, LLC and all subsidiaries, which will now operate under the “STA” brand family.
“Our new naming convention change comes at a time when Solar Trust of America continues to grow and define itself as a uniquely American solar company,” said Uwe T. Schmidt, Chairman and CEO of Solar Trust of America.
The Solar Trust of America (STA) family of brands will be comprised of:
Solar Trust of America Holding Company with headquarters based in Cleveland, OH
STA Development Project Development. Formerly Solar Millennium LLC, based in
Oakland, CA
STA Operations Operations and Maintenance of all Solar Trust of America solar
facilities
STA Contracting Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Solar Trust of America
solar facilities
STA Industries Logistics and Supply Chain Management
STA Ventures Investment management
STA Management Services Corporate Management and Human Resources
Today’s announcement comes on the heels of Solar Trust of America’s recent announcement of the groundbreaking of the Blythe Solar Power Project. The project received conditional commitment for a $2.1b Loan Guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy in April.
NOTE: Solar Trust of America’s majority-owner, Solar Millennium AG (s2m:GY) of Erlangen, Germany, was not affected by today’s name change.
