U.S. Department of Energy and Virtual Energy Forum to Host Monthly Broadcast SeriesThe U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Brookhaven National Laboratory today announced a partnership with the Virtual Energy Forum to host a monthly series of live video presentations. These online events will highlight specific DOE programs and provide a global audience the opportunity to interact with leading DOE experts.

The first event in this series, scheduled for March 16th, will feature a keynote presentation from DOE’s Vehicle Technologies Program Manager, Patrick Davis, and focuses on the Administration’s goal of deploying 1 million electric vehicles by 2015. Attendees will hear important program updates and learn about the challenges involved in ensuring effective integration of electric vehicles and supporting infrastructure into the power grid. Future broadcasts will focus on energy efficiency, green cities, renewable energy, smart grid, and transportation.

Virtual Energy Forum is a leading producer of online events for private and public sector energy executives. More than 10,000 attendees have participated in past Virtual Energy Forum events. According to Virtual Energy Forum, by hosting events entirely online attendees have collectively avoided more than 100 million pounds of travel-related CO2 emissions.
