We have a long-term commitment to this important market, and have previously announced our selection of Guelph, Ontario as the site of a 200 megawatt solar PV module plant. This facility will be Canadian Solar’s first feed-in-tariff domestic content compliant solar manufacturing plant in Ontario, and is expected to require approximately 500 people to run at full capacity.”

“Canadian Solar is a leader in establishing an Ontario Solar Module Manufacturing facility here in Guelph and it is exciting to see this project move from planning to hiring. Guelph Mayor, Karen Farbridge added, “This is an exciting day for Guelph, as Canadian Solar’s impact on our community becomes tangible with the hiring of hundreds of new employees. I am hopeful that Canadian Solar will find the skilled talent they need, right here in our community.”
