SAN FRANCISCO – The Sierra Club, the largest and most influential environmental advocacy group in the country, is pleased to announce the screening schedule and panel discussions at the first ever Green Festival in Los Angeles. The Green Cinema is a collection of informative and entertaining environmental documentaries, short films and theatrical trailers, in addition to an array of panel discussions. The event will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on October 29 and 30, 2011.

Subsequent to the Los Angeles Green Festival, the Sierra Club will also partner with the Green Festival in San Francisco on November 12 and 13, 2011 at the Concourse Exhibition Center and in New York City on April 21 and 22, 2012 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Films, panel topics and schedule may vary. Admittance to the Green Cinema in LA, San Francisco and NY is free to Sierra Club members.
The Green Festival, a project of Green America and Global Exchange, is the largest sustainability event in the world. The festival celebrates what’s working in our communities and around the globe, showcasing the most recent developments in renewable energy and green technology through how-to workshops, cutting-edge films, fun activities for kids, and informative presentations.
