Oil Company Partners to Build Solar Power Plant on the Island of Oahu,Hawaii

Oil Company Partners to Build Solar Power Plant on the Island of Oahu,HawaiiChevron Energy Solutions, Oceanic Time Warner Cable and Tioga Energy have broken ground on an 856 kW solar system at Oceanic’s Mililani Tech Park on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Chevron Energy Solutions designed, engineered and will construct the solar project, which will include PV panels on two buildings and parking canopies. Tioga Energy will finance, own and operate the system, selling the generated electricity to Oceanic Time Warner Cable over the next 20 years.

The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2011.
