Cutting Long Island Energy Costs with Solar Power. Honda Acura Dealers and Customers Take Advantage
Cutting Long Island Energy Costs with Solar Power.
Long Island’s Nardy Honda and Smithtown Acura are cutting their energy costs with solar power systems from SolarCity. The dealerships—owned by brothers who are 3rd generation automobile dealers—are the country’s first Honda and Acura Dealers to go solar with SolarCity.
American Honda and SolarCity announced a national partnership earlier this year that makes it possible for Honda and Acura customers and dealers in New York and 13 other states to install turnkey solar power with little or no upfront cost and immediately allow them to pay less on their utility bills.
“I can’t think of a reason not to go solar. I believe electricity prices will just keep going up. Solar makes sense and SolarCity made it easy,” said Lee Certilman, Owner of Nardy Honda in St. James, New York.
With solar electricity we’re reducing our carbon footprint and saving thousands of dollars on energy costs at the same time.
Nardy Honda and Smithtown Acura have both received the American Honda and Acura Environmental Leadership Award, which recognizes dealers who significantly reduce their environmental impact by reducing energy and water consumption and participate in recycling programs.
”We’ve asked our dealers to reduce their environmental impact by participating in our Environmental Leadership Program,” said Steve Center, Vice President of the Honda Environmental Business Development Office.
With our SolarCity partnership, we’re making it easy and affordable for our dealers to go solar.
SolarCity launched on Long Island, opening their Hauppauge office earlier this year, and currently employs over 100 New Yorkers among its Albany, Westchester County and Long Island offices.
“SolarCity makes it easy and affordable for Long Islanders to go solar,” said Lee Keshishian, East Coast Regional Vice President for SolarCity.
Our partnership with American Honda makes it even easier. Honda and Acura customers can go solar with little or no money down and can immediately allow them to pay less on their utility bills.
